I'm just re-reading this article from Nelson Mail on Saturday and reflecting further on her opinion.
I AGREE with Judene. I don't wish to have an opinion about every issue before I get there. I am hopefully going to get elected to represent various views from the community, bring those voices and experiences as best I can to the council table and together with the other elected members work out the fairest, greatest cost benefit, creative possibility to any/all issues that come across the table. Isn't that what a democracy is?
